be taken jointly with another subject in a Double Major honours programme. New for 1999/2000 is a Minor in Mathematics for Commerce

1MATH 2131 has MATH 2030 as a
prerequisite. MATH 2131 will be offered for the first time in 1999/2000. It
effectively replaces MATH 1132, which was offered for the last time in Winter
1997/98. MATH 1131/2030/2131 and MATH 2560/2570/2030 are presently
interchangeable.
2Or COSC 1540 3.0, or six credits from any
other computer science course. 3Or MATH 3033 3.0. 4Or
MATH 3230 3.0.
5Note that, in any Honours programme, the
Faculty of Arts requires three full courses at the 4000-level. Students must plan ahead
(even from first year) to ensure that they have the prerequisites for six more
credits at the 4000-level, in MATH or some other subject. One possibility is
ECON 4500 3.0+4510 3.0, which has only ECON 1000/1010 as prerequisite.
6This may be replaced by MATH 2280 3.0
plus 3 more MATH credits, at the 2000-level or higher. |
