Using theory and design methods, engineers are involved with the construction and maintenance of products, services and information systems. A junior engineer ususlly does a year of two of on-the-job training before choosing a specialty. Responsibilities include identifying and analysis of a problem and selection of technical solution. Duties may include preparing specifications to design a product (or system ) and taking steps to have it implemented.
