Topics include polar coordinates in R$^{\rm 3} $, general matrix algebra, determinants, vector space concepts for R$^{\rm n} $ (e.g. linear dependence and independence, basis, dimension, linear transformations, an introduction to eigenvalues and eigenvectors). Three lecture hours, one tutorial hour.
