Solutions to Partial Differential Equations
Review of linear and nonlinear partial differential equations;
elements of variational calculus; finite difference methods for
elliptic problems, error analysis, various boundary conditions,
non-Cartesian variables, PDE-eigenvalue problems; hyperbolic and
parabolic (time-dependent) problems, explicit and implicit
methods, stability analysis; Rayleigh-Ritz and Galerkin method
for ordinary differential equations, finite-element methods.

Prerequisites: : AS/SC/MATH2270.03; AS/SC/MATH3242.03 or
SC/AS/COSC3122.03; AS/SC/MATH3272.03 is strongly recommended.
