These are the errors which have been discovered in the 2006 Edition of
the Student Manual of
Single Variable Calculus: Concepts, Applications and Theory.
Example 2.6A (1): The derivative of f is cos x.
Example 2.7F (4): On the number line on slide 3, the second derivative does not exist at x=-2 and x=2 while it has value zero at x=-sqrt{20/3} and x=sqrt{20/3}.
Example 2.8B (3): The correct solution is at the link
Example 2.8C (4): The correct solution is at the link
Example 2.10A (2): In the statement of the problem, it should say that the child's shadow is decreasing (instead of increasing).
Example 2.10A (3): The word "airport" in this problem should be interpreted as the point directly above the airport at the altitude of the planes.
Example 3.2D (2): On slide 3, the error is less than 0.050
Examples 4.5B (1), (4): In the statements of these problems an x is missing from each integrand.
Examples 4.9B (1): Change the lower bound of integration in the slide from 3 to 2.
