Research
At the board meeting of the Fifth ISAAC Congress held on July 26, 2005 at the University of Catania in Italy, Professor M. W. Wong
was elected President of ISAAC for 2005-07. The two pictures (
Picture 1 and Picture 2)  were taken at the banquet held at the historical
Biscari Palace by Professor Hongmei Zhu of York University. From left to right are Professor M. W. Wong (President of ISAAC),
Professor Franco Nicolosi of the University of Catania (Chair of Local Organizing Committee) and Prof. Dr. Heinrich Begehr of the
Free University of Berlin (Ex-President of ISAAC).

New Book: Wavelet Transforms and Localization Operators (Review by S. Thangavelu, Indian Statistical Institute, Bangalore)

A special interest group in pseudo-differential operators was formalized at the Fourth ISAAC Congress
held at York University in August 2003. Some thoughts at the early phase of the group may be gleaned
from the following document.
Special Interest Group in Pseudo-Differential Operators
The group is now named ISAAC Group in Pseudo-Differential Operators (IGPDO) and a website for
IGPDO was set up in Fall 2004.
