Many thanks to all of you who contributed to this work by directing us

We have searched the many internet resources and culled out the most
valuable and useful resources pertinent to statistical computing.
Each entry in our guide contains a brief descriptive evaluation of the
resource along with the information you will need to access it.
The bulk of our guide is devoted to Internet resources related to
popular statistics applications. We have also included resources that
are of more general interest to users of such applications, such as
database repositories and discussion groups for broader statistical
discussions.
Application resources included in the current version of the guide are:
- SAS
- SPSS
- And to a lesser degree BMDP, S, LISREL, etc.
- As time passes we hope to add additional software categories1
Types of Internet tools included in the current version of the guide
are:
- Mailing lists and Usenet Discussion Groups
- Gophers
- World Wide Web documents
- FTP sites
