Club Girl Tech
This is a great site for girls, and boys too. Visit Chic Chat to get and
give advice and post messages to friends, Girls World to meet interesting
girls and women, Inventors to inspire your creativity and learn about women
inventors, Game Cafe to play games and solve puzzles, and Sports to find
out about women's basketball. My rating: 5/5.

Flight Activities
Visit the Children's Museum of Indianapolis to make an origami swan, paper
airplanes and other things that fly. You will also learn how to plant a
garden that will attract butterflies. My rating: 4/5.


Barnyard Buddies Coloring Pages
Simple pictures of farm animal characters to print and color. My rating: 3/5.

Safety Bear's Coloring Book
Learn safety tips while you color with Safety Bear and Safety Cub. My
rating: 4/5.


Stereogram of the Week
Can you see the 3D image hidden in the picture? Hold your nose close to the
picture, look through it until it is blurry, then slowly move away and the
secret image will appear! My rating: 4/5.


Yak's Corner
Yak's Corner is an online version of a weekly news magazine for kids.
There's lots to see and do here: news stories, original puzzles and games,
craft activities, recipes, Pet of the Week, Star of the Week, an animal
column, plus jokes, poetry and art work by kids. Awesome: 5/5!

Time for Kids
'Time Magazine' presents a special twist of fun and facts in the news
just for kids. My rating: 4/5.


Mozart Musical Dice Game
In 1787, Mozart created a dice game to make a random arrangement of musical
measures. Play a computer version of this game; click on the 'Compose a
Minuet' link and then on the 'Make Music!.' Requires a MIDI music player.

The Locker Room...Sports for Kids
Learn about all kinds of sports, check out interesting facts, test your
sports knowledge, and get some helpful tips. There are also pages of
warm-up stretches, and ideas for dealing with team problems. My rating:


Kids Connect @ the Library
Visit the Public Library of Des Moines to read 10 original stories that
were written and illustrated by middle school students. Some of these large
print stories even include sounds! My rating: 5/5.


Children's Butterfly Site
Check out a gallery of beautiful photos of moths and butterflies, print out
coloring pages of the Monarch butterfly's life cycle, read butterfly and
moth facts, and follow links to other butterfly Web sites. My rating: 5/5.

Iowa State's Entomology Image Gallery
See pictures of insects that have been taken through an electron
microscope. There are also videos of a cicada, lady beetles, ticks, lice,
and more. Unfortunately, many of the bugs are listed by their latin names
instead of their common names. My rating: 4/5.


Dinosaurs at the Children's Museum of Indianapolis
Includes dinosaur information sheets with coloring pages. My rating: 3/5.


How Can I Say No?
Find out how to say no to smoking, drugs and alcohol. There are also facts,
crosswords and other activities. This colorful and informative site for
kids is presented by the World Health Organization. My rating: 4/5.


Fun Stuff - Public Museum of Grand Rapids
Print out and make toys that represent exhibits at this museum. Toys
include: Flying Flapping Bird Ring, Whale Flip-Book, Boy in a Tub, Tumbling
Acrobats, Ocawa Canoe, and A Little Chair. Printable pattern pieces and
instructions are provided for each toy. My rating: 5/5.
