More on including PostScript figures in LaTeX 2_e:

Actually, for LaTeX2_e, there are alternatives to psfig.sty, such as
the "graphicx" package, which can be obtained free from any TeX
archive site. For more details on graphics in LaTeX, see the book
"The LaTeX Graphics Companion". Here is a simple example:

\documentclass[dvips]{article}
\usepackage{graphicx}
...
\begin{figure}
\centerline{\includegraphics[angle=-90,width=3.5in]{myfigure.ps}}
\caption{This is a caption.}
\end{figure}
