I have created a directory for functions and libraries I have written or downloaded from Statlib for Splus 4.0. When I unzip various statlib windows functions in that library and for example issue the command
everything works fine, and I can use the V&R functions. But when I do the same for Hmisc or Design, I get the message
Error in menu.length(): Unable to find item with specified location
Warning messages:
[.factor redefined to drop unused levels of factor variables when subscripting. To prevent this behavior, issue the command options(drop.factor.levels=F) in: .First.lib.loc,section)

The director tree structure in d:\mylib has for example a folder mass, containing a folder _data
The same is true for Hmisc and Design

Any suggestions?
