Dear Oswald List:
oswald@lists.lancs.ac.uk

SUBJECT: ILLEGAL operation , PAGE FAULT
bug in corstr=3D"stat_M_dep" ? in using GEE

I am new to OSWALD and am trying to get my econometrics Ph. D.
students to learn about it.

Students have windows version 4 for Splus (Student edition)
I have downloaded the Oswald version 3.2
I run the test program:
=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3DHave i loaded it properly ? =3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=
=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D
variogram(olsres(lograts))

The computer says:

Call: variogram.ldamat(obj =3D olsres(lograts))
Estimated process variance: 0.00925779219358568
Variogram:
[1] [2] [3] [4]
LAG 1 2 3 4
VGRAM 0.001175463 0.002954119 0.005146784 0.005516800
No variogram cloud was created.
I assume that this means i have loaded OSWALD properly.

=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3DEnd loading query=3D=3D=3D=3D=
=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D
=3D=3D=3DREAL QUERY Now the following program DOES not work=3D=3D=3D=
=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D=3D

library(oswald)
attach(temp.frm)
attach(temp2.frm)
attach(c(temp3.frm, temp4.frm))
tmp <- gee(turn1~retire+age+tenure+salary+lnsize+difroa
+nedum+sedum+madum+nwdum+scdum, id=3Did,corstr=3D"stat_M_dep",Mv=3D1,
family=3Dquasi(link=3Dlogit))
print(summary(tmp))

computer says this program has performed an illegal operation
SPLUS caused an invalid page fault in module SQPE.DLL at 0137:019assaf
It then completely throws me out of SPLUS

Strange thing is that in the above program, if i have corstr=3D"unstructu=
red"
it works fine. IS this a bug? Does anyone else have similar problem?

Thanks in advance
