Dear S-news readers,

It is not obvious to me how to obtain the hazard and baseline
hazard functions for a Cox proportional hazards model in S-Plus.
For example, the estimated hazard function for the i'th subject
with explanatory variables Xi

hi(t)=exp(beta'Xi)ho(t)

How can I obtain the function hi(t) or ho(t)? and also
Are those functions stepwise with each step corresponding
to the observed death time in the data?

I am using version 3.4 under the UNIX.

Thank you for your help in advance.

regards,
Suet-Lam
