models. A good one, published after the Splus documentation was written,
is
TM Therneau and SA Hamilton, "rhDNase as an example of recurrent
event analysis", Statistics in Medicine, 16:2029-2047, 1997.

I shows both SAS and S-Plus code for a moderately complex multiple events
data set.
