LECTURER IN STATISTICS
(Tenurable)

Department of Mathematics and Statistics
University of Western Australia

SALARY RANGE: Lecturer Level B $45,194 - $53,669 p.a.
CLOSING DATE: 30 october 1998

Applications for this tenurable position are invited from men and women
with good teaching skills and active research & applications interests.

Statisticians and probabilists in all areas are welcome to apply.
Preference will be given to applicants with some background in
Economics/Commerce and interests in Quantitative Finance.
The appointee will contribute in particular to the teaching of
introductory statistics to Economics and Commerce students.

Applicants should have a PhD in Statistics or equivalent, demonstrated
skill in teaching Statistics, evidence of a high level of scientific
productivity, and the ability to supervise postgraduate students.
