I want to calculate integral of a bivariate density function
on an arbitrary compact region. Contourplot() plots contour
lines of the density for different levels. I want to extract
coordinates of contour line for a specific level. I used
print.default() to see which elements are in the trellis
object which is returned by contourplot() but couldn't find
the information about contour lines in the object. So how can
I extract coordinates of contour line for a specific level?
As far as I can see there is no function available in Splus to
calculate the integral of a bivariate function on an arbitrary
compact region. I'd be interested to know if there are some
routines in other programs or libraries which can be used for
this. I'm aware of routines in NAG library for product and
simplex regions. Thanks.
