[S] dos under W98

Dear Colleagues:

I am trying to call from an S+ subroutine a precompiled module, say
MYPROG.EXE, using the 'dos' command.
In my case, it looks like

my.fun_function(.....argumernts....)
{
for(i in 1:BigNumber){
.........................................S+ code
dos("c:\\myfiles\\myprog.exe")
.........................................S+ code
}
results
}

Everything works perfect under Windows 95. When I am doing the same
under W98, I receive a message box saying that "the program
MYPROG.EXE cannot work properly unless in the MSDOS mode..." a inviting
me to create a shortcut. After I comply with this request, W98 shuts S+
down and restarts my computer in the DOS mode. This message kills the
whole idea of using a precompiled module, because I have to call the
module MYPROG.EXE thousands of times.

Does any body know a magic word which I have to whisper (to shout) to
W98 or/and to S+ in order to force them to perform this simple task?

I am working on Pentium2/400MgHz/128MgB

Thank you for the help in advance

Simon Rosenfeld
