Incorporation of computational Bayesian methods in popular statistical software has resulted in a renewed interest in Bayesian methods in both business and bio- statistics. Attend SORA-TABA’s 4 th Annual Workshop in applied statistics to learn how to improve your analyses and decision-making by applying Bayesian methods.
The opening session by Dr. Andy Willan, Why a Bayesian Be (And a Frequentist Be Not), will lay the foundation for the plenary and concurrent sessions that concentrate on business or bio- statistics.
Business statistics sessions: Dr. Steven Wang will present Statistical Data Mining of Continuous and Categorical Data. This session will present examples using R.
Biostatistics sessions: Dr. Michael Escobar will present Introduction to Bayesian Methods. This session will present examples using WINBUGS.
The afternoon sessions include the opportunity for participants to do statistical analyses in WINBUGS and R using their laptops.
Please visit the workshop website for more detailed abstracts, biographies, and to register.
Intended for applied statisticians in business and biostatistics. |
