The textbook is
Single Variable Calculus: Early Transcendentals by James Stewart,
published by Cengage, 2011 edition.
A special edition of this book bundled with extra material on vectors
is available in the York University Bookstore.
The Bundle ISBN is 0176553606.
The syllabus follows the textbook.
I expect to cover chapter 2 on limits and derivatives (except 2.4),
chapter 3 on differentiation rules (except 3.10, 3.11),
chapter 4 on applications of differentiation (only sections 4.1, 4.3,
4.5, 4.7), chapter 11 on infinite sequences and series (only sections
11.2) and chapter 12 on vectors and the geometry of space (except 12.5).
The central source for the course is the
textbook. Each lecture I will
assign exercises from
the textbook which you should do by the next lecture.
