Southern Ontario Numerical Analysis Day 2008
Friday May 9th
Vari Lecture Hall B
Vari Hall (Building 30)
York University

The Southern Ontario Numerical Analysis Day (SONAD) is an annual one-day conference that brings together researchers (faculty, PDFs, visitors) and graduate students working in broad areas of numerical analysis and scientific computing at Ontario universities. The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at York University is pleased to host SONAD in its 26th year.

We are pleased to announce the following invited speakers:

  • Christina Christara, Professor, Dept. of Computer Science, Toronto.
  • Hugh Couchman, Scientific Director, SHARCNET.
  • Brian Wetton, Professor, Dept. of Mathematics, UBC.

Please see Abstracts for a complete listing of the conference presentations with abstracts.

As in previous years, SONAD 2008 is a catered event including breakfast snacks, lunch, and a reception afterwards. Registration is free and very helpful to the organizers to arrange for catering. Please follow the link above.

Wireless network access in Vari Lecture Hall B will be provided for registered guests.

The Committee gratefully acknowledges financial support for this event from SHARCNET, the Office of the Vice-President Research & Innovation, and the Office of the Vice-President Academic, York University.
