Week 1: read chapters 1-3; work on ex 2.4, 3.13, 3.14.

Week 2: read chapters 12, 13, 16; work on ex 12.4, 13.3, 16.8

Week 3: read chapter 18; written assignment (due 2:30pm, Jan 25): ex 18.2, 18.3, 18.5.

Week 4: read chapter 20; group assignment (presentation due Feb 1): ex 20.7.

Week 5: continue group assigment: ex 20.7;  more details  Solution of Burgers equation  matlab code for Burgers equation

Weeks 6 & 7: work on group project 1. Draft report due Feb 22 at 2:30pm.  Requirements

Week 8: work on group project 1: model simplifications and analysis.

Week 9: complete  HW2; and continue working on group project 1 (correction: take the intensity as per unit volume.)

Week 10: HW2 written report due March 14. Prepare group project 1 presentations on March 14.  Requirements

Week 11: Prepare group project 1 final presentations and preliminary discussion of individual March 21.

Week 12: Prepare group project 1 final reports (due March 28). Present individual project proposal on March 28.
