Integral Calculus with Applications

Homework

You should complete the following homework problems, and check your answers against those in the back of the text. You may consult the solutions manual (on reserve in Steacie Library) for complete solutions. Remember that the solutions manual numbers the problems according to the preliminary edition of Kochman's text. The only way to learn this material is to do lots of problems, so do a few each day and don't let yourself get seriously behind the lectures in terms of the practice problems.

In each section, if you feel reasonably comfortable with the material by the time you have finished that section, then you are probably putting in enough practice. But if you still feel shaky with the material from a section after finishing, then you should choose some similar problems from that section and work them too.

Where possible, I have selected problems that are present in both the preliminary edition of the text, and in the current (2nd edition). Problems listed below refer to the 2nd edition, with references to the preliminary edition given beneath in brackets and italics. The symbol 1E refers to the preliminary edition.
